About the Doctors

Drs. Rodney W. Owen, Joe F. Inman, Philip R. Sprague, Jason L. Richards, Courtney A. Greenwood and Boley J. Greenwood are pediatric dentists in Sylvania, Ohio, who specialize in providing quality care to patients from infancy through young adulthood. Each doctor maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Toledo Dental Society and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Each doctor is committed to maintaining the standards of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in our community. They are all associate clinical professors at the University of Toledo Medical Center, where they teach in the post graduate general practice and pediatric dental residencies.

Dr. OwenRodney W. Owen, DDS, MS

Dr. Owen obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, and a Master of Science degree in pediatric dentistry at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.

He has been in private practice since 1975. When away from the office, he enjoys photography, art history and spirited games of racquetball.

 

Dr. InmanJoe F. Inman, DDS

Dr. Inman has been in private practice since 1982. He enjoys the personal relationships formed with families while providing dental care.

Dr. Inman attended Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1980. He completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Inman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Inman’s interests include volunteering with church youth and mission dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and kayaking.

 

Dr. SpraguePhilip R. Sprague, DDS

Dr. Sprague attended dental school at The Ohio State University. He earned a post-graduate certificate at the University of Toledo Medical Center and completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Sprague is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Sprague has been in private practice since 2001. He has hospital privileges at The Toledo Hospital and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he provides dental treatment in the operating room with general anesthesia. When away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, vacationing at the Outer Banks of North Carolina and cheering the Cleveland Indians and Browns to victory.

 

Dr. RichardsJason L. Richards, DDS

After obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University, Dr. Richards completed a general practice residency at Medical College of Ohio and a pediatric dental residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He has hospital privileges at The Toledo Hospital and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he provides dental treatment in the operating room with general anesthesia.

He has been in private practice since 2003. His wife is a pediatric intensive care physician.

 

Dr. GreenwoodCourtney Greenwood, DDS

Dr. Courtney Greenwood attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After dental school, she returned to Toledo to complete a general practice residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Dr. Greenwood completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Children's Hospital of Buffalo. Since joining the practice in 2009, she has become A Diplomate of the Board of Pediatric Dentistry.  She has hospital priveilges at the Toledo Hospital and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, which allows her to provide dental treatment in the operating room under general anesthesia.  Dr. Courtney is excited to be back in her hometown, close to family and friends. She is looking forward to Mud Hens baseball and Michigan football games.

 

Dr. GreenwoodBoley J. Greenwood, DDS, MS

Boley Greenwood received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in 2006. After dental school, Dr. Greenwood practiced as a general dentist for three years, in both Utah and New York, before entering his pediatric dental residency at the University of Toledo, Medical Center. While completing his residency, Dr. Greenwood also earned a Masters degree in Oral Biology from the University of Toledo. Dr. Greenwood has hospital privileges at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and the Toledo Hospital, and is able to provide dental treatment under general anesthesia.
